stricken, smitten and afflicted

This is my favorite Lenten hymn, one we used to sing when I was a little girl.  It's a Lutheran hymn written by Thomas Kelly.  It's hard to find a good version of it today, sung powerfully as it's supposed to be.  This is actually my all-time favorite Lutheran hymn; I wanted it sung at my wedding but we didn't for obvious reasons.

Take time to listen and meditate on the words, they are beautiful and point to our beautiful Jesus and the suffering He went through on our behalf.
