one of God's storytellers
One of the things I love about Hope in the City is the heart for the nations our body has. It's infectious. Steve and I keep adding to the number of church planters we support either financially or with prayer, or both and it's exciting to see and hear of the work they are doing.
As you know, I have a great love for college-aged people and for those pursuing creative dreams that God has given them. One of the people Steve and I pray for and support is the son of Ron and Janine, our founding pastors now "home" in Indonesia again.
You can check out his blog here, terra incognita. He studied film at UT and is church planting in Northern and Western Africa with All Nations, documenting the journey in film and photography along the way. In May, they will begin a six month road trip in Morocco and end in Cape Town, hitting about 20 countries. Today he shared with a roomful of people at church how God has given him a vision of the Kingdom he wants to tell through film. How each person is a unique facet of God's character; how he hopes to tell the God story that is unique to each people group they visit and disciple. His heart is for people first, filmmaking second, and I think that is what makes his storytelling compelling.
I hope you will check out his blog; check out some of his videos, and if God leads, support him in prayer and/or financially. Thanks peeps.
