christmas vacation book reads

I'm looking forward to being home with my boys the next two weeks over Christmas vacation. Days of cookie making, board games, and walks looking at lights ahead.

I'm also going to catch up on my reading. Here's what I'm finishing up and starting:

• Ministry of Intercession by Andrew Murray
• The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen
• The Wounded Heart by Dan Allender
• All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriot

One of my favorite reads this year was God on Mute by Pete Greig, author of Red Moon Rising and founder of the 24-7 prayer movement. Check it out if you want some real thoughts on unanswered prayer with thoughtful and educated answers.
