frogy

Syd's room smelled like the wharf when we returned from vacation today. There was a good reason. His beloved "Frogy" had moved on from this world. As we found a burial place for him, we said a few kind words about Frogy; his bravery and survival of an aquatic rock being felled onto one of his legs early in life. That is the first and only time I have laid hands on an aquatic frog. Maybe not the last.

Frogy grew to be a big squishy frog and Syd took great care of him, giving him a bigger tank as he grew and new pretty rocks that could not crush him. So it was with sadness we buried him in our little backyard garden, in a tiny puzzle box bearing the portrait of King Henry the Eighth. You deserve the honor, little Frogy.

I am hopeful that Syd re-named him "Frogy 1" in his demise. A Frogy 2 will soon be welcomed.

On a less lighter note, we are thinking and praying and grieving with our friends who lost a husband, and a father today. So glad he is with Jesus and his suffering is over. We love you guys.
