so last night our family watched a scary, or thrilling - depending on how you want to look at it - documentary on the danielson famile band. not to be missed. besides singing about Jesus in doctors and nurses costumes, they also make handmade crafts. i'm not knocking them at all, i applaud them for following through on their dreams, whatever that looks like.

now that our own boys of summer are home, i thought you would like to see from time to time some of the poetry and art flowing out of our home. syd and ben are finishing up some projects, but in the meantime here's a pen and ink i did last year in a "drawing your dog" class. only in austin would people come together to specifically draw their dogs. i took the class as preparation to illustrate steve's children's book grum. which is still forthcoming...
